Don’t Forget To Take The Milk In! 🥛🚪

There was a time when one of the first jobs of the day was taking the milk in from the doorstep.

Before mobile phones, before online shopping, before life became quite so busy, millions of households across Britain started their morning with a simple trip to the front door.

The milkman had already been.

The bottles were waiting.

And the day could begin.

At Doorstep Deliveries, we still see that little tradition happening every morning across the Midlands.

Long before most alarm clocks sound, our drivers are out delivering fresh milk, orange juice, eggs, bread and more.

When customers open their doors in the morning, everything is already there waiting.

It’s one of life’s small pleasures.

But as the weather gets warmer, there is one important thing to remember…

Don’t forget to take the milk in!

Fresh milk is always happiest in the fridge.

While our glass bottles help keep milk cool, direct sunshine and warm temperatures can quickly reduce freshness if bottles are left outside for too long.

During the cooler months, many people don’t think twice about leaving the milk on the doorstep for a while.

In summer, however, it’s worth bringing it indoors as soon as you can.

If you know you’ll be away for longer periods, consider leaving a cool box or insulated container in a safe place for your delivery.

Many of our customers do exactly that during the warmer weather.

It’s a simple way to keep everything perfectly chilled until you’re ready to enjoy it.

Of course, there’s something rather lovely about opening the front door and seeing those familiar glass bottles waiting for you.

It’s a reminder that some traditions still work just as well today as they always have.

Fresh milk.

Delivered locally.

Waiting on the doorstep.

All that’s left is to pop it in the fridge.

Have a wonderful day from all of us at Doorstep Deliveries.

And don’t forget to take the milk in! ☀️🥛
